To Our Beta Users

You will be working with a beta version of the GeoStrat Desktop application. As a beta version we realize that 'bugs' are still present in the application, and we continue to fix them as quickly as possible. In the near future we will institute a forum for registered users to post found bugs, and suggestions for enhancements.

Minimum System Requirements

The GeoStrat Desktop application requirements are:
1. Windows XP with SP3 or later and
2. Microsoft .Net 4 Framework

Steps to Install the GeoStrat Desktop Application

The installation of the GeoStrat Desktop application is a two-step process if you do not have Microsoft .NET 4 Framework installed on your computer. To determine if you have Microsoft .NET 4 Framework check for a folder,V4 or higher, on C:\Window\Microsoft.Net\Framework\. If you have the framework installed go directly to Step 2.

1. To install the Microsoft .Net Framework 4 - (Skip this step if Microsoft .NET 4 framework is already installed on your computer)
   1. Go to Microsoft .NET Framework 4 RC download site:
      1. Download
      2. See Instructions on this site for computer requirements and installation instructions
   2. Scroll down to Files in This Download and select the dotNetFx40_Full_x86_x64.exe
   3. Click the Download button
   4. Save the dotNetFx40_Full_x86_x64.exe to a folder on your computer
   5. Double-click the executable, click Run in the dialog window and follow the installation

2. To install the GeoStrat Desktop Application
   1. Click Download the GeoStrat Desktop Application below.
   2. At this point you can run the installation or save the file to a folder on your computer
   3. If you saved the file, go to the folder where you saved it and double-click the file to install it
   4. To open the application go to Start-All Programs-GeoStrat Desktop
